It is so important to know how much you can afford according to the lender and what type of loan you will be doing. Not all homes qualify for all loans and a lot of homes out there right now don’t qualify for any loans. You can save yourself a lot of time and heartache by knowing the numbers and loan type you need to work with. Your agent takes you out, shows you three homes (all well over your price range you have qualified for – very unrealistic), and then you write an offer on one of these homes and magically come up with the extra $50,000 to be able to close on the home.
